Wow, I have just noticed that we have not put anything on the page for a long time, we are sorry.
Once again, from September 2009, we started Sports Club again for our regular members – who have moved to year 5. Mr Hardwick is in charge of the club this year due to Mrs Hardwicks new job within the school, she occasionally has to have a meeting at lunchtime. Mrs Gray who is a new member of staff working as a teaching assistant assists Mr Hardwick each week. Mr Hardwick and Mrs Gray are very eager to join in with the fun and the games played.
I must congratulate all the children on their behaviour, their attitude and committment. Well done to all.
Take care, keep up the great work.
Mrs Hardwick

Congratulations to year 4, you are all very prompt and ready for a ‘fab’ time. Mr Hardwick took us outside this week to play rounders, it was lovely in the sun, we hope it was not too hot for you. I know Ella had a good time. Take care

Welcome back to Sports Club year 4, after 10 weeks with year 3 where they gained credits for Childrens Unniversity, I will start Sports Club with year 4. Hopefully, you will gain credits again for Childrens Unniversity, it is starting on a Monday each week at 12:45 – 1:25pm, due to your willingness to attend we changed to Monday, due to a few of you unable to attend on a Tuesday! Don’t forget your PE kits and MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR DINNER FIRST! See you all there.

Unfortunately the 10 week period at Sports Club is over for year 3. We hope you all enjoyed coming each week and participating in the games Mr Hardwick worked on with you all. Not everyone turned up each week but well done to the few who attended every session. You have all gained credits towards your Childrens Unniversity.
Keep up with sport, it is great fun.

What a great lunchtime we had on Tuesday, it was great to see you all there. You all joined in and played the games excellently. The game of ladders was great once you realised which way you had to run!
See you all next week, Mr Hardwick

As I have been promising, you will all be appearing on this page soon in some of the pictures we have taken over the last few weeks. Our two Year 6 helpers also make an appearance as they are very much a part of our club and are very encouraging towards you all.
How about you all posting on here what sports or skills you would like to learn and enjoy over the next few weeks?

“Lifeguard, Lifeguard” could be heard shouted today in the Sports Club, we were playing a game of “Sharks and LIfeguards” with the parachute. I was a shark and joined in with the children playing the game, poor Louise had a broken toe and was unable to play properly but she willingly came along and took part as a Lifeguard. Fantastic spirit Louise, well done. Also, well done to everyone we had a great time today. I was pleased that you all wanted to still come even though it was Sports Day, I hope you were not to tired to compete in the races. See you next week.

I am looking forward to the last term of Sports Club, I cannot believe it, how quickly a school year goes by. It does not seem that long ago since we started the club in September!! I hope you still enjoy the activities each Tuesday, let me know if you enjoy the sports that we cover. I would like to praise you all for your excellent behaviour throughout the last couple of terms, also your dedication and sportsmanship. See you on Tuesday.

Lunchtime today I took the club outside onto the field-the group were thrilled. It was lovely and sunny with a slight breeze. We all made a circle and joined hands, we then had to pass a large hoop around the circle without dropping it and keeping hold of each others hand!! What fun we had, I then used two hoops and timed how long it took to return them back to the person who started off. After that, the group were put into two teams and we had a great time competing in relay races. Well done to all of you for enjoying yourselves and your excellent behaviour. See you next week.
